Here’s how it works…

Thanks in part to #NapoleonDynamite and #TinaEatYourQuesadilla, many think that llamas are inherently mean and sometimes spit. Not the case actually.

That’s a camel.

According to Misty at Rancho Condarco, llamas get a bad wrap from their “guard llama” peers.

Guard llama? Yeah, my face was crinkled up and confused, too.

Never heard of a ‘guard llama’.

Maybe a guard pit bull, but not a llama.

Have you ever seen a field full of goats, with one that’s unusually tall and missing horns?

Well… those token llamas aren’t there for anything other than to alert the others when something’s amiss. In case you haven’t noticed goats are often too busy licking the fence or head-butting each other to notice when predators are creepin’ up.

The ones you may have encountered are mean because they are stuck to babysit in the pasture all day with a bunch of ignorant farting cows or goats or sheep.  They have no one to talk to, and they generally tend to look and act like me on day 67 of summer vacation.

But not Happy. Nope.

This little baby is as sweet as June summer days are long with an eight and six year old in the house fighting over an ipad and who gets the last of the fruit loops. Oh wait. Got off on a freudian tangent for sec.

She was only looking at me like that because I had coffee breath and was asking for a kiss.

I settled for a squeeze instead…

Misty’s baby llama, Happy, miniature cow, Lovey, potbelly pig, Waffles and the adorable goat, Hoppy all frequent the venue these days for a couple of brilliant reasons. Misty noticed that adults love the animals as much as, if not more, than the children, so she dreamt up parties for our age that I promise you will love.

This is Waffles.

She hates her headband, but I love it.

I had to get a selfie with her, but she’s not into squeezes like Happy, and I wasn’t about to go in for the kiss. Been there. Done that. Back in the day my class won the boxtops fundraising challenge, and the big prize was a pep-rally during which I had to kiss the hind end of a squeeling pop-belly piglet. Now that I’m typing that out loud for the whole world to see, I’m pretty sure that was the start of the end for me. Puckering up to a pig’s behind will do it every time.

RC’s most recent event was “Red, White and Moo”.  She brought her two miniature cows and a bunch of wine. She let them wander around while she threw a party for adults. Wine, girl time and little bitty cows. What more does a grown woman need? ha!

She’s little y’all. Real little.

Yes, she pooped…and peed. Like the second she came in. I could see it, she was like, “oh, look. Never pooped in house before. I bet that’d be special. Lemme try it.”

BUT, I don’t care because it was cleaned up in split second and this cow is the most adorable little full-grown cow you ever seen. She did like her headband, though… unlike her pink wirey-haired sister.

She does private parties for adults, and YES you can use my venue to host it! Misty is one of our house members at Brookielynn’s Bungalow and has “free range” of the house. (see what I did there?)
