A little more about me . . . .
My name is Brooklyn and just getting it out of the way here… My business is named Brookielynn’s Bungalow (with two n’s) because that’s the sign that was on my tree house when I was 5 years old. I saved the sign like I do everything and used it in 2013 when I quit teaching to open my business. Teachers don’t have a lot of financial reserves, so a free sign laying in my garage was right on point with what I could afford.
What used to be a workshop business crowned by a Guinness World Record, has morphed into a coaching business helping other newbie entrepreneurs navigate the art of social media marketing and building a brand through my e-courses, face to face workshops and speaking engagements.
My favorite saying in my presentations is, “I’m not a guru and I was not ‘classically’ trained.” I was a middle school English teacher for 11 years, so I know how to dig deep and work hard, but what’s more is that I know how to impart what I know in terms that are easy to understand.
Over the last six years I’ve navigated and learned to balance between the opposing worlds of creativity and the math required to run an efficient business. I’ve learned that if you just show up all the time, you will be noticed and eventually you’ll do something right and even big. Thanks to a constant need to scale my business in a sustainable way, I’ve created processes to keep me sane and turned those processes into short, helpful classes for you. Why should you have to learn the hard and arduous way when I already have?
My goal in life is to be significant and leave people more confident in their abilities than when I found them.
