You see vertical welcome signs everywhere, and if you haven’t then you are even less observant than I am. (That’s saying a lot, too). I’m not supposed to make promises, but I promise you, this is THE best welcome porch sign you’ll ever find, and you need to come make one with me in my upcoming workshop on September 26th. Mmmm k?
First off, the shapes are the “o” in welcome and come off because we are going to put velcro on the back during the workshop. When I reference “WELCME” later on down in this description, I’m not misspelling that. haha
Second, you will paint the vertical back board either black or white as a step during the workshop, but your letters will come already painted for you, so… before checking out you need to decided if you are going to want a black or a white board. The color of your board will determine the color of your WELCME letters. Your choices are black or white.
The entire project is made of high-quality, light-weight birch ply with the exception of the 1×10 vertical backboard.
As always, we will use Bungalow 47 Chalk + Clay paint for the 4 interchangeable seasonal shapes and backboard. And as stated above, your “WELCME” letters will already be painted in your choice of white or black because painting letters takes a while and it’s not very fun, so I’m doing that for you prior to class. You are welcome–pun intended hahaha! lol
Please note that the 4 seasonal shapes that come with this class are different than the seasonal shapes that come with the next class. If you would like the other four options, too, you may take that class and just pay for the “shapes only” ticket price.
Here are the 4 shapes that you’ll paint for the “O” in WELCOME. All included in this workshop.
