I attended the Becoming Unstoppable by Jamie Kern Lima virtual summit produced by Jamie Kern Lima founder of IT Cosmetics on Feb 22. Wow. It was really good. She is the epitome of a rags to riches story with all the rejection and follow-your-gut and grit and heart feels rolled into one. She started as a Denny's waitress and is currently a billionaire despite all the odds. She was told no for three years, but took the no's like the bad guy takes bullets in a scary film. She just took them to the chest and kept trudging forward. Jamie talked about a lot of different tools she uses to go after her goals, but my fave was "the fearless squirrel". She saw this pic with a friend one time in a gift shop, and they laughed and said we're this squirrel. When Jamie feels afraid, she thinks of this squirrel and she just does [it]... whatever [it] may be. I'm motivated by seeing the underdog succeed. These four beautiful girls are permanent residents at the bungalow and every time I'm there I get to see at least one of them.
