Eight years ago I quit my job as a teacher.
I had zero income, no savings and bills up to my eyeballs.
I knew I’d die on the vine if I stayed teaching middle school, but had no clue how to start or grow a business.
But…
Once I started down the path of entrepreneurship, I soon felt like I had traded my unfulfilled life for a life of high stress and anxiety.
I asked myself daily, what in the hell have I done?
“Doing Facebook”, making kits, answering emails, calling in orders, painting furniture, staging booths, taking inventory, cleaning my venue, packing boxes, running to the post office, attending networking meetings, listening to podcasts, planning events, downloading courses, paying bills, tracking sales, mom-guilt, wife guilt, no me time, etc…
It was all TOO much and I felt like I was doing such a crappy job at everything.
I had to take a hard look at my business, trade up some good things for great things and start working a whole lot smarter.
I figured out that I didn’t have to do it all, and the things that really needed me (like momming & being a great wife AND marketing my business) were the things I never event got around to doing because #entrepreneurshipishard.
But how do I market my business without sitting at dang computer all day while ignoring my family?
That was the big elephant in the room.
Who has two thumbs and no marketing degree?
me–the middle school English teacher.
That’s who.
One morning, I got up and manhandled my mind.
I gave myself a time limit.
