Step-by-Step Cabinet Refinishing with Bungalow 47 Chalk + Clay Paint

February 19, 2019 @ 4:00 am - 7:00 am

$95.00

It’s rare that I do a workshop on a weekday, but if you can join me at this time on this day, you’ll be inspired to take the whole week off to refinish all the cabinets in your whole house.  I’m going to teach how to do it start to finish.  Feel free to bring one of your actual cabinet doors so that I can do an in-house assessment and show you the colors that will look great over the existing finishes, and how much prep work (if any at all) will be necessary before you start. In less than two days in most cases, you can accomplish what you would pay someone else thousands of dollars to do.  Learn how for under a hundred bucks and you’ll be STUNNED with the amazing results.

What are we going to do in the workshop?

Using a practice door that I provide, we will refinish it start to finish using Bungalow 47 Chalk + Clay Paint.

We will learn what makes for a great finish, how to prep, what brushes to use and why, how to get a smooth finish, how to distress, layer, glaze, antique, age and seal.  I will have several doors done with various finishes and let you choose which one you would like to learn. This is a very comprehensive workshop that I think even your husbands should attend! LOL

A couple of VERY common questions that will be answered…

Do I wax my cabinets?

I painted my cabinets with a chalk paint, and I was told to wax them. Now they are collecting dirt and I hate that. Can this be fixed?

My cabinets are very slick, what will I have to do to them first before I paint?

Do I take my cabinet doors off before I paint?

The people before us that owned the house painted the cabinets and now it’s chipping. Why is that happening, and how do I make it stop?

Do we paint inside or just outside?

Do I paint my hardware?

What is the difference between chalk paint and milk paint?

Will this chip off?

What do I seal it with?

Do I need to seal?

Will I be able to clean my cabinets?

*******ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED AND LOTS MORE!***********

All those in attendance will get $5 off quarts of Bungalow 47 Chalk Paint the day of the workshop, and a how-to pamphlet, color chart, stir stick and action guide/notes sheet.

Seating is limited to 12 so that I can give everyone a lot of attention and support.  Practice on my door so you are not scared to paint yours! See you Tuesday, February 19th from 10-1
